The controlling agreement of the $4.0 billion settlement between the County of Los Angeles and the plaintiff law firms in the County AB 218 childhood sexual abuse cases, fully executed with signature pages. This is the document that creates the installment schedule, the settlement fund, the allocation framework, and the release structure that every Group A claimant’s payment flows through. It has generally been available only through the court’s own docket; we obtained it from the record and host it here so it is simple to read and share.

An example Point-Based Allocation Payment Notice prepared for the settlement program itself, walking a hypothetical claimant with 66.5 points through every line: gross payment, the 0.6% common benefit deduction, the 20% healthcare lien reserve, and the $500 lien administration fee. It is the clearest official illustration of how a points score becomes a net payment.

Order Establishing the $4 Billion Settlement Fund (Group A QSF Order)

The DA’s Application to Freeze Settlement Payments (Fraud Investigation)
